Yesterday, we went to see Beyonce at Manchester Evening News. We purchased our return train tickets from Liverpool Broadgreen, and were told that the last train was 11:40.
At approx 11:20 the concert finished and we all made our way down the stairs to the station, and seeked out a staff member in a yellow jacket to ask where we got the train to Liverpool - guess what we were told - there were no more trains running that night!
So there we all were, hundreds of us, stuck and stranded in Manchester Victoria Station, needing to get home, there were young girls crying because they had no way of getting home. The dirty attitude of the staff, who seemed to think they were a law unto themselves (think the bright yellow hi vis jackets gave them a sense of authority!) was the worst case of customer service i have ever experienced in my life. Comments such as 'im glad i dont live in Liverpool' and 'the taxi rank is outside' and 'tough' were what we were told, no explanations as to why the train was not there.
I would like to know how it can be justified that following a concert in the MEN there is no late trains to take people home? I would like to know what happened to our train last night? I would like to know who is going to take responsibility for all the poor young girls who were left wandering round Manchester last night, following the match, which they were defeated, so lots of drunk angry men on the streets? I would like to know how i get a refund for the x3 return tickets we purchased from Broadgreen station last night.
