After a couple of emails and few phone calls, I finally received £50 worth of travel vouchers last Friday as compensation. They are date stamped and have to be used within 1 year which is great as I can put them towards my season ticket when it is to be renewed in a few months. Thank you Northern Rail.

Hi Hayley, well done  :)

what was the compensation paid for? was it for a specific incident where loss had occurred or just for general inconvenience?

The compensation received was for the complaint I made over a mixture of things, including delays, cancellations - (which made me late for work 3 times in one week), overcrowding and the general service that Northern Rail were providing.
